The Dual Message Display is intended for police county councils, parish councils and private operators who do not necessarily wish to enforce speed limits, but would rather influence driver behaviour for the better, by positively reinforcing and drawing attention to local speed restrictions in high risk areas.

Designed and manufactured exclusively in the UK the Dual Message display is the result of a demand for effective traffic calming displays, which have been proven to deliver a positive and enduring change in driver behaviour.

The display is fully portable and is driven from a rechargeable 12V power pack which will allow about 12 hours operation between charges. The whole system is compact enough to fit into its own carry case which can easily be transported and stored in the boot of a car. It incorporates the latest detection and software technology which has allowed us to manufacture a sleek, slim line design unit weighing just 7Kg.

Each aluminium display is constructed using advanced LED technology which is software controlled to ensure it never dazzles oncoming traffic. As the light conditions change, so does the luminescent output of the display and with an automatic night time setting, it is safe to use at any time.

When activated in standard mode, the display will show both the vehicle speed in real time alternating with the flashing message ‘slow down' beneath the fixed ‘your speed' legend. If preferred however, the operator has the option of commanding the display to show just the speed of the vehicle or alternatively just the flashing ‘slow down' legend. The operator may also set any desired speed threshold using the small handset provided. Once this is set, the display will remain dormant until the speed threshold has been exceeded by an oncoming vehicle and will remain active until it slows down or has passed the display. The typical range of the display for vehicle detection as around 100m.

Because our displays show the full message ‘your speed- ??mph – slow down' the driver quickly realises the message the operator is trying to reinforce and will adjust his driving habits far more rapidly as a result. The Dual Message display comes with a variety of options such as advanced data capture for up to 64,000 events, an upgrade for permanent outdoor operation including an internal mains transformer and standard sign fix brackets for roadside post mounting or unattended temporary outdoor installation with our secure post mounted battery box.
